Zip Code Map illinois
How do I take the metra from Arlington Heights, Illinois to the chicago air and water show?
Ok so we are planning to go the Air and Water show on August 16, 2009 (Sunday). We live in Arlington Heights, Illinois (zip code 60004). We know there is one metra station in Arlington Heights, as well as one in Prospect Heights (which is very close to Arlington Heights).
Heres all the information you need for the air and water show
Hours:
10 am - 4 pm
The Air & Water portions are now combined into one continuous show.
Location:
North Avenue Beach
1600 N. Lake Shore Dr.
Chicago, IL 60610
Can someone please explain to me how im supposed to find out which train to get on, when it leaves. I dont understand anything at all on the metra website all of that makes no sense to me. Isnt there anything like google maps out there but for metra?
Thanks!
The Metra website can, at times, be very confusing. The stations you refer to are on the Union Pacific Northwest line, which goes to the Olgilvie Transportation Center.
To my knowledge, the air and water show is on August 15 & 16 (Saturday and Sunday).
The UP-NW Saturday schedule is here:
http://metrarail.com/Sched/cnw_nw/cnwnw6i.shtml
The Metra stops at Arlington Heights at the following times in the morning: 6:47, 7:32, 8:32, 9:32, 10:32, 11:32
Here are the times for Mount Prospect: 6:52, 7:37, 8:37, 9:37, 10:37, 11:37
If you want to be at North Avenue Beach by 10:00, I highly recommend that you catch the train that arrives at AH at 7:32. You will arrive at OTC at 8:23. This will provide sufficient time to get to NAB.
To get to the beach, here is what I suggest you do:
1) Walk to the intersection of Monroe and Canal, which is one block south of Madison. Look for a bus stop there.
2) Catch the route 151 bus.
3) Stay on that bus until you reach the intersection of Michigan and Oak.
4) There is a path at that intersection that goes under Lake Shore Drive / U.S. Route 41 and into North Avenue Beach. Use it.
This is the best way I know of to get to NAB. To get back to OTC, do the opposite of what I just told you. At the intersection of Michigan and Oak, there are two bus stops - one for each direction. You will need to cross Michigan Avenue in order to be able to catch the bus that will take you back to OTC.
One last thing: You may want to copy and paste this into a word document and then print it out.
STAR Bonds District Map On Display
MARION -- The city of Marion has officially established a STAR bond district. The vote at Monday night's council meeting was unanimous. The move sets up state tax incentives to lure a destination development to town. City leaders say those attractions could eventually create thousands of jobs.
Can anybody help me with an address situation?
I have a Great Lakes, Illinois address. I've tried to use the computer's map system, Yahoo! Maps, and Yahoo! Search the address, but nothing has come up. I have a four-digit address, a street name, and the city, state, and zip code, but then there's also this two digit number before "Division" followed by a three digit number.
#### Street Name
##, Division ###
City, State Zip Code
That's what was given to me. # stands for the numbers in place.
The 3 digit number after division would be the suite number I believe.
